Cam And Groove Gaskets
Cam and Groove Gaskets, also known as Camlock gaskets, are fitted into a machined recess in the female Cam and Groove hose coupling section. They are essential to the camlock coupling set-up as the pressure created by the female cam arms on the male grooved adapter draws the adapter in against the gasket to create a tight seal. Supplied here as replacement seals.
Types of Materials in Which Camlock Gaskets are Available
- At Pacific Fittings, we have Camlock Gaskets available in four different materials:
- Buna-N (Nitrile): This is also known as synthetic rubber, and it is known for its excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, fuels, and chemicals.
- EPDM: The acronym stands for Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, a synthetic rubber that is resistant to weather, ozone, and UV rays. It provides superior performance in water and steam applications.
- Viton Gaskets: Viton is a brand of fluoroelastomer (FKM), which is a highly durable material known for its exceptional chemical resistance and performance in high temperatures.
- Silicon Gaskets: Silicon camlock gaskets are known for their extreme temperature tolerance and flexibility. Because of their non-reactive properties, they are ideal for food and medical applications.
- We also provide Teflon (PTFE) Gaskets, which are known for their non-reactive nature, high-temperature tolerance, and excellent mechanical stability and are available on special order only.
